Michael is an associate lawyer in our Chilliwack office whose focus is in the area of Wills and Estate Planning. Michael’s practice also includes Business Law, Real Estate Transactions, and Farm Transactions.

Michael spent the majority of his career in litigation with a focus on estate litigation and family law. In his current practice, he uses the knowledge and skills that he learned to better protect and advise his clients. Michael’s expertise in wills and estate law allows him to guide individuals and families through the process of estate planning to ensure their assets are protected and their wishes are carried out.

Michael assists clients with a variety of estate planning matters including preparation of wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, and trusts. Michael also represents executors, administrators, and trustees in administering estates. If you require assistance with drafting a will, establishing a trust, or navigating the probate process, Michael has the knowledge and expertise to assist you.

Michael also assists business clients with a wide range of services including the formation of corporations and partnerships, drafting shareholders’ agreements, corporate reorganizations, the purchase and sale of assets and shares, and drafting contracts.

Michael was born and raised on a farm in the Fraser Valley. He attended the University of Victoria where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree and followed that with a degree in law. Michael was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2015. Michael worked at a litigation firm in Victoria until he returned to the Fraser Valley in 2019. While his office no longer has a view of the ocean, he believes the mountains are just as beautiful.

Outside of the office, Michael spends as much time as he can with his wife and son. He also enjoys playing hockey, reading, and watching sports.
