W. Kim Briscoe

As a senior associate in our litigation department, Kim has a varied practice handling personal injury claims, family law and estate litigation matters.

In her personal injury practice, Kim works exclusively for the innocent victims of motor vehicle and other accidents, as they seek fair compensation for their injuries.  She has experience in cases with multiple and serious injuries including brain injury, neck/back injuries, fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome, headaches, soft tissue injuries and fractures.

As a family lawyer, Kim acts for parties upon a breakdown of their marriage or common-law relationship and helps to sort out issues regarding asset division, spousal and child support and custody and access. She also assists parties in preparing agreements in anticipation of marriage.

In the area of estate litigation, Kim represents beneficiaries, executors and other claimants in matters and disputes involving testamentary capacity, undue influence and claims governed by the Wills Variation Act, and Trust and Settlement Variation Act. Kim also assists clients in obtaining legal authority to deal with the personal and financial matters of aged family members who are no longer able to manage their own affairs.

Kim was born and raised in the Yukon.  She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta.  In 2002, after practicing law with a large Vancouver law firm, Kim and her husband relocated to the Fraser Valley where she worked initially in our Langley office before moving to our Chilliwack office.

In her spare time Kim enjoys spending time with her family as well as camping, boating and the many other wonderful outdoor activities that the Fraser Valley has to offer.
